Like whoa. Here’s some Goodie Mob footage from when they reunited at B.B. King‘s in 2009. I remember my arms being SO TIRED from holding them up in the air so much! This is post- Gnarls Barkley‘s St. Elsewhere, and Cee-Lo was in fine form in his cape, cashmere cableknit sweater and diamond earrings. That night the foursome went deep with their classic hits like “Soul Food” and “Get Rich to This“. Towards the end they bowed their heads and let Cee-Lo take the spotlight for “Crazy“, which I get the feeling everyone was hoping for but no one was expecting. There’s a new chapter unfolding in the Dungeon Family history book, as Cee-Lo just announced that the title of the new album is We Sell Drugs Too… this was via his Twitter feed, so I’m gonna take it with a grain of salt. Whatever the case it’s about damn time they get back in studio!
PS If Freefest had a fantasy football league for its lineup, let’s just say that Cee-Lo brought out Big Gipp, Khujo, and T-Mo during a solo concert in West Palm Beach for a brief set last April… so yeah. Add Goodie Mob to the surprise guest roster!? #IWish #DirtySouth
