This week Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes album Here debuted on Community Records. To celebrate this the band is doing what they do best – hitting the road – in support of it. The gang was out in full force at Roseland: Alex, Jade, approx 327 multi-instrumentalists and the accordionist that used to be on Greek and just made a cameo on Don’t Trust the B in Apt 23 (I swear I’m not going crazy). Their gigs are indeed magical – they dive headfirst into the performance like IT’S THE LAST EVER CONCERT ON EARTH Y’ALL. It’s just this giant sonic sing along tidal wave that sweeps you off your feet. We are so lucky that they played Virgin Mobile Freefest 2010 and we hope they make an encore appearance! Who knows, maybe they’ll roll up in a train. I could wax on and squeeze out a live review, but that’s just a waste of bandwidth. Photos below. Buy the album! See them live. Done.
